Adding New Machinery to Keep Up With Demand
Do you remember reading about the introduction of the Gen2 pallet in one of my previous blog posts? We were so excited about offering this new and improved pallet and we had a goal of selling 10,000 pallets initially. We had performed all of the necessary tests on the pallet and we knew we had a winner. Next, we needed to gain real world experience about how the pallet would perform in the field and how the market would receive this innovation.
Well, I can enthusiastically say that the “real world” loves this pallet that handles the same load as the original but weighs almost 25% less. We have exceeded our goal! In order to meet demand, we have decided to expand our production capacity with new tooling and new machinery.
I wanted to give everyone advance notice about this opportunity so you can include the Gen2 pallet in your future material handling plans with assurances for improved delivery times. I wouldn’t be surprised if in another year, I’m writing a follow up about once again exceeding expectations for the Gen2 pallet.
