Clear River Cosmetics is based in New York City and was started by Joan Comrie who had a passion for doing hair and makeup since she was a little girl. Although Joan has worked at some of the most prestigious financial services companies in New York City she always found the time to do someone’s make-up or hair.
Joan is also a member of the National Cosmetology Association(NCA) which is the world's largest association of beauty and salon professionals.She is also a member of the National Association of Female Executives(NAFE).
Joan decided to pursue her passion of beauty care by enrolling at and graduating from the prestigious Wilfred's Beauty Academy in New York City in 1994. She is licensed to practice Cosmetology (Beauty Science) in New York State and she also holds a business degree with a major in Human Resource Management.
Joan’s love of the beauty industry led her to research starting a line of color cosmetics and skincare products which would be of the highest quality but would also be affordable to regular working women. After 3 years of extensive research and working with a NYC based chemist the CLEAR RIVER COSMETICS line of beauty products was born.
