Deskins provides a range of liquid-solid separation and dewatering services to customers in the agricultural, industrial, and municipal wastewater markets. The company's solutions are derived from a proprietary intellectual property (IP) portfolio that includes patents for pre-treatment technology and a dewatering process based on a filter bed design: • Deskins’ flagship pretreatment device, the RapidFloc Mixer, leverages a unique flocculation unit to precondition bio-solids, sludge, and other semi-liquid waste at the beginning of the treatment process, resulting in significant polymer savings and performance gains for liquid-solid separation downstream. • Deskins’ Quick-Dry Filter Beds replicate a natural vacuum that actively drains (rather than simply drying out) sludge and other wastewater products, eliminating the need for costly mechanical equipment and capturing resources for immediate recovery and re-use. While the majority of Deskins installations to date have been new-build scenarios, many existing drying beds and lagoons at agricultural, industrial and municipal wastewater facilities around the country are compatible candidates for a retrofit to Quick-Dry Filter Bed specifications. Physical benefits of the Deskins approach include higher hydraulic loading and system wide performance gains for backwash recovery. When both product lines are installed in sequence at a single treatment plant, the aggregated platform is known as a Deskins Eco-System, and eligible for ongoing maintenance and support through the company’s signature knowledge-based consulting and field support division.
